A child can be radicalised into increasingly extreme groups, eventually becoming violent and partaking in other illegal behaviours. Within this category, vulnerabilities and patterns which might indicate grooming into these extreme groups are detected. Consuming extreme content in various forms from misogynistic, racist, radicalisation, fundamentalism, conspiracy theories and more. Detecting language that glorifies violence, and indicates isolation and anger.

Unusual Locations
Big Sister is not the app for day-to-day tracking which can impinge on a child’s privacy. However, it flags if the child’s device is in a non-normal location for them.
Health & Wellbeing
Unhealthy behaviours like excessive time online or gaming, fasting, dieting and lack of sleep are included. Also detecting vulnerabilities to depression and anxiety, consuming self harm and suicide content and eating disorder content.
Privacy First
At Big Sister we ensure that your child's safety and consent is platformed to ensure no child feels ‘watched’ or exploited online. Your child has to consent to install the app and can uninstall any time. This protects them from the possibility of being abused through the app. As a parent you get a red flag if the app is uninstalled. Other apps for online safety will actually be routes to spy on your children which erodes trust and induces children to circumvent your safety nets. Big Sister only takes the data to spot warning flags. The parent will only see what is needed to keep a child safe. No more.
