Extreme content

A child can be radicalised into increasingly extreme groups, eventually becoming violent and partaking in other illegal behaviours. Within this category, vulnerabilities and patterns which might indicate grooming into these extreme groups are detected.

A common denominator in all extreme content is language that glorifies violence, and indicates isolation and anger. The tone of messages is checked for this common denominator.

Every extreme viewpoint has a particular “founding story” or “trope” which is repeatedly parroted or referred to by people in the extreme group. These main tropes have been identified and encoded for detection.

  • Anti-black, White supremacy, Racism

  • Conspiracy theories

  • Norther Ireland related Terrorism

  • Far-left/Right
