How Does Big Sister Send Alerts?

Big Sister, an innovative AI-powered app, offers a comprehensive solution to protect children from online threats. This digital guardian employs advanced technology to identify potential dangers and alert parents, striking a balance between privacy and protection.

How Big Sister Identifies Threats

Big Sister utilises a sophisticated, system encoded by expert advice from CEOP and NSPCC called "The Danger List" to detect online threats.

This system employs four primary detection methods:

  1. Keywords and Phrases: The app scans for specific words and expressions associated with grooming, cyberbullying, and other online risks.

  2. Tone and Expression Analysis: Using Natural Language Processing (NLP), Big Sister can identify bullying tones, signs of radicalization, and gang-related communication.

  3. AI Visual Scanning: This feature detects pornography, nudity, and analyses images for hidden problematic messages.

  4. Machine Learning: The app employs advanced algorithms to detect cumulative negative effects, complex sequences leading to abuse or grooming, and sudden behavioral changes.
